"Thank you for such a beautiful wedding ceremony. Everyone loved your words and energy that made the event so special." Theresa and Dave
Adventure
Package: Top of The World "The ceremony took place on the highest place in the world. Mauna Kea is the world's highest island peak and when measured from the underwater base, it is 33,476 feet tall, 4,448 feet higher than Mt. Everest. There was approximately one foot of snow on the summit and the rising sun illuminated the cloud layers nearly a thousand feet below us. The surrounding volcanoes and mountains were spectacular. December 29 was a beautiful morning on the summit, even with 55 mph winds and a wind-chill of 1. Our party of four, Dard, Jeff, Kelly (Jeff's daughter) and I bundled with our heads touching and arms encircled for the exchange of leis and vows. It was a combination of a traditional and Hawaiian wedding. Our minister was a truly unique person. He was a Congregational minister originally from Connecticut. He has hiked many of the 14,000 peaks in Colorado, climbed in the Alps and competed in the Ironman Triathlon. He is a kind and compassionate person. He is one of those individuals who consistently maintains a positive attitude about all things and has a true passion for living. In just a short period of time, we felt like fast friends. He performed a wonderful ceremony, combining the traditional parts of a marriage ceremony with Hawaiian customs. He also added unique insights about nature and the outdoors, which we enjoy so much...." Lisa Perry
